Can I work for two financial services/ insurance companies at once?

Posted by admin on July 26th, 2011 and filed under financial services jobs | 1 Comment »

I currently work for a big insurance company part time. Over the summer I’m looking to temp doing something similar, again part time, so that I can get some additional income. Most vacancies seem to be for something very similar. If I get an additional part time job for a company that could be considered a competitor, are they likely to have a big problem with that? Is it just frowned upon or will it be an actual breach of contract?

    ‘Americans betrayed by their government’

Posted by admin on July 26th, 2011 and filed under financial services jobs | 25 Comments »

There has been much chatter on mainstream media that there are plenty of “other” jobs out there that people don’t know about. However, data does not support the praises economists are singing about the “New Economy.” Paul Craig Roberts says the “New Economy” is supposed to consist of financial services, innovation, and high-tech services but unfortunately these jobs have not come to fruition and the US government has betrayed its people.

How To Write A Resume That Guarantees You An Interview

Posted by admin on July 22nd, 2011 and filed under entry level finance jobs | No Comments »

CharlesMontoya.NewCareerTeleSummit.com — Rule #1 in resume writing is There Are No Rules. The business of resume writing can be compared to an advertising agency for job-seekers. The products being sold are your skills, abilities, and potential to achieve the employers business objectives. Your job search is a personal-marketing campaign — and like any other business — there is no one single format to sell the skill-set you offer. Think about it, do the different car companies use the same format or message to sell their sports models, minivans, and SUVs? Does Coca-Cola try to do the same thing Pepsi is doing to sell their soft drinks? The answer is obviously No and thats why you shouldnt create a resume that is just like someone elses. The effectiveness of your resume is not how good it looks standing alone, but how strong it stands out from the other applicants. And since theres not ONE format or strategy everyone wants its up to you to overhaul the rules youve been using and stack them in your favor.
