I’m in the midwest, and have no experience in the field but I’m looking for a career change. I have very extensive "sales" experience, I’m personable, and a very strong work ethic (I work about 70 hours/wk in my current job). Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

I wouldn’t be asking this question, but I am so hesitant because it is for a field that does not deal with what I want to do (business/finance). If i get this job, I’d be working for a electric plumbing supply company working as a purchasing specialist where I have to forecast how many goods we need to purchase based on past sales and such. Also I would have to make sure the company is getting the best, most competitive deal out there from their purchases. I might be overanalyzing this. Can someone please help? Thanks.
